My story

When I was a little girl my mum taught me to bake cakes. Many years later I knew I had cracked it when my mum asked how I got my cakes so much lighter and fluffier than hers. "But I learnt it all from you mum."

A few years ago I signed up for an evening class in cake decorating and I picked up so many tips. I upped my game from a complete amateur to a professional. The first ‘proper’ cake I made was for my brother's 50th birthday. I still remember with huge pride the look of awe on his face when he saw the cake I had made for him. This led to me setting up a business making celebration cakes. I love to see people’s reactions when they see the cake I have created.

I worked for many years in a job that paid the bills but didn’t hold my heart. When I was made redundant I knew the time was right for me to take a different direction and follow my passion. I love to have an afternoon tea with friends and I decided to use my skills and creativity to produce luxury afternoon teas for all occasions.
​
I was diagnosed with coeliac disease in 2012 so I have to follow a strict gluten free diet. This limits my choices when eating out and I want to make luxury afternoon teas accessible to people with dietary requirements. I can provide gluten free and dairy free afternoon teas, please specify any dietary requirements when ordering and if you have any other requirements then please ask.
